Finding Grace

We all face trials in life and during some of those trials we can't see the light, all we can see is the darkness that consumes us.   We begin to lose hope and our faith begins to get shaky.  Some of us think we can do it alone, some of us begin to cry out to God, while others are just lost and not sure what to do.  We begin to feel alone and afraid because we feel like nobody understands or that God Himself has abandoned us because we don't feel His love or grace. During these times we fail to remember that these are moments we need to trust God the most because our faith is being tested. It says in James 1:2-5  "2) Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3) knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4) And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5) But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, ...

The Loneliest Heart

Image
Today's topic really hits me hard, it has left some of the most unimaginable and deep scars I have on my heart.  It's a topic I am just overcoming and still struggle with today.  So, please pray. "You will never amount to anything".  Those are words a child/teenager will never forget. You will never forget the beatings you took or being made to feel like you were Cinderella without the fairy tale ending. When someone makes you feel like you are unloved and unwanted it is one of the loneliest places you can be and it is something that will stick with you for the rest of your life. It can either make you or break you. I was one of those people that wore the mask throughout most of my life.  Looking back I was blessed to have my best friend and her mom and throughout most of my teenage years and as much as I could, I stayed the night and only went home when I had to.  Like life was okay, it was the mask I wore too well and nobody ever suspected how un...

The Ugly Truth

Image
We all live a life and face a life of judgement.  It doesn't matter where we go, what we do or even who we are. You can tell yourself all you want that you don't do it and if it helps you sleep at night then great, but the truth still remains the truth no matter what you say or how you look at it because it is our human nature. It is true what they say, first impressions are everything!  We judge people on how they look, how they act,  sometimes what we have been told about someone instead of getting to know them, and we even judge the ones we love because they behaved in a way we didn't approve. The problem is we live in a world where many masks are worn.  We have no clue who we are judging or even what that person may be going through or has gone through. Many situations aren't what they seem and many people aren't who they are made out to be. We make fun of the fat guy at the gym, but at least he is there trying to make an effort. We make fun of the girl th...

Will you trust Him?

One of the biggest messages I have gotten this year from the Lord has to do with trust.  If anyone knows me they know that trust is the one of the hardest things for me to do.  We all have a story and a lot of mine has to deal with lies, betrayal and a lot of heart ache.  No matter what was thrown at me in life I always seemed to love more that I probably should and I always gave more chances than  I probably should.  So to trust anyone fully was/is a very hard thing for me to do because that fear of getting hurt again is overwhelming even when it comes/came to trusting God fully. 2014 started off with a vengeance for me, anything and everything was attacked within a weeks time and my world seemed like it was truly crashing in and like most people all I could do is cuddle up on the couch and weep and pray.  Then one day I saw something that changed my mind set, as I was scrolling through Facebook I saw something on praising God through your stor...

Called To Testify

John 21:15-17 New International Version (NIV) Jesus Reinstates Peter 15  When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,  “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Feed my lambs.” 16  Again Jesus said,  “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Take care of my sheep.” 17  The third time he said to him,  “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,  “Do you love me?”  He said, “Lord, you know all things;  you know that I love you.” Jesus said,  “Feed my sheep. Many times we don't understand what God is doing in our lives and because we don't we become frustrated and walk away.  Throughout my life, my walk, my journey, whatever you would like to call it, I have done that many times. I never knew what God was doing o...

It's just me, take it or leave it!

The Introduction I am not a writer, nor am I a singer, actress or talk show host.  I am just simply me!   Hi, I go by the name Chatter these days.  I am a wife, a mother, a daughter,  a sister, a niece, a coworker and even a friend. I am a very genuine person and I am also generally a private person, but these days I seem to have a lot more to say.   A few years ago my life started to unravel, but with my head held high and help from others I was able to get through.  Slowly things are starting to come together, but overall looking back I have been truly blessed and still am considering I am writing this blog.   I am a straight forward person and generally tell it how I see it, so if that isn't for you then you may want to keep looking.   I also just rekindled my relationship with God, but I am still learning as I go, so I ask that you please don't hold me to any certain type of standard and please don't pass judgement be...
