The Everlasting Promises of God, Our Father!

"The Promises of God are greater than the threats of the enemy."

God-Still-Speaks.com

It was brought to my attention that many people don't really look up verses (Seeeeeee, I listen) and because I feel so strongly about holding on to the promises of God, as believers, I decided to take time to write the ones I listed in the previous blog.

However, before I write them down I need you to know that holding onto the promises of God is important as believers.  It is what gets us through life and they were already fulfilled all we have to do is trust God enough not to doubt and believe His word is truth.  It's time we stand of faith and allow God to do the rest!

Nothing is too small for God.  He CAN restore your finances!  He CAN restore your health! He CAN restore your broken relationships!  And all He is asking of you is to believe what was already given.

The first thing we must and should do as believer is to seek God first, just like it says in Matthew 6:33:

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

If you need healing, these are a couple good ones to stand upon:

"But He was pierced through for our iniquities;  The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

"For I will restore you to health,
And I will heal you of your wounds, ' declares the Lord,'
Because they have called you an outcast, saying: It is Zion; no one cares for her."

Jeremiah 30:17

(Side note:  I am not telling you to stop seeing your doctors or stop your medication! I am simply saying stand on faith and believe you are healed and allow God to guide your situation.)

Financial/Provider:

" Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me!  But you say,'How have we robbed You?  In tithes and offerings.  You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!  Bring the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this, " says the Lord of hosts, "  if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows."

Malachi 3:8-10

"Do not worry then, saying 'What will we eat?' or "What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'  For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things;  for your  heavenly Father knows that you need all these things."

Matthew 6: 31-32

"And my God will supply all your needs accordingly to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:19

Marriages:

"But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she  consents to live with him, he must not divorce her.  And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away.  For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband:  for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy."

I Corinthians 7: 12-14

"In the same way you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior."

I Peter 3: 1-2

Family's salvation:

"But the loving-kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children's children."

Psalms 103:17

"Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6

There are so many more promises throughout the bible, these are only just a few.  We just need to remember what God has promised and what He truly is to us:

God is our Hope!  He is the source of our Salvation!  Our Comforter!  Our Stronghold!  He is everything we need Him to be and all we have to do is stand in faith and believe.  He didn't promise these were going to happen, these are promises that were already made.

Stand strong and firm in them. The enemy is always ready to attack, but we were given authority over darkness.

Today, I am ending with a great reminder my pastor left us with last week:

"When the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future!"
